donate for NYC

The company that my Dad has worked for since before I was born, Klockner Pentaplast of America,  is pulling together resources to help families at P.S. 721-K Roy Campanella High School in Brooklyn, NY. The school helps students with special needs with vocational job training, and while the school is still standing, the students have been devastated by Sandy, and another storm is on its way this week.

A second tractor trailer (the first is almost full!) will be parked in Ruckersville, VA at the Wal-Mart parking lot until Saturday, November 10th taking donations to deliver to the the school's families. If you live in the Charlottesville, VA area, they are taking donations for ANYTHING you can imagine, including cleaning supplies, tools, warm clothing, toiletries, etc.Volunteers will be working to take your donations from 9 AM to 7 PM.

If you don't live near Charlottesville, VA, but would like to help, please email KK Nolan (aka my Mom). Organizers are in the process of setting up an online donation method, and she can share with you the details.

Even though the images look on TV look okay and things are back to business as usual, there are still families who are without running water or electricity or even a roof over their head. Anything helps!
