Over the last few months I've posted about wanting an office, dreaming of an inviting front door and new patio decor. Now all of the above will be coming true for us - we've bought a house! We move in June, and there is lots to do!! I hope to share our home projects, and gather tips, tricks and design inspiration from you all!!

scallops gallore

Last summer on a whim I bought a pair of scalloped shorts, and they quickly became my go-to. They looked polished for dinners out and were super comfy + added some sophistication to my standard t-shirt look for Saturday errands. I can't wait to break them out this year. Here are some other scalloped items I think would be perfect to add to any summer wardrobe.

My teammate at work told me that every Thursday morning she and her roommate play Wilson Phillips' "Hold On". It's perfect for Thursday morning when we're all (uhh me) feeling a bit sluggish! top 5 tuesday - featuring stylin' shades

It's no joke I love sunglasses, whether they're Wayfares, Aviators, Cat-Eye, Jackie O Round...I love them all. Today is an ode to some rockin' shades to help you catch some rays in style this spring.

1. Karen Walker Anywhere Crazy Tortoise - These are classic, simple and tortoise shell and make me smile all around. Karen Walker shades are a MUST this season!

2. Tory Burch Rounded Cat-Eye - How funky is this clear + the orange is so right now?! Great combination.

3. Ray-Ban Aviator Flip Out - Aviators that come with 3 different lenses for one price, including polarized lenses - you can't beat it! It's like getting a 3 for one deal, which makes me happy. 

4. Warby Parker Jasper - I like the concept of one-for-one, and Warby Parker makes it a no brainer at $95 for polarized, prescription sunglasses. How can you go wrong? These funky marine colored throwbacks are where it's at.

5. Oliver Peoples Emelita - My Mom had a parir of red glasses just likes these in the 80's - which makes me smile! I really dig the shades for the Havana Red and the gradient lens.

I spent this weekend mostly on my patio working, relaxing, editing pictures and sipping a glass of wine (or 2). It's such a peaceful oasis in the heart of the hustle of the city, but as I looked around I didn't love what I saw. Instead, I envision the patio transforming into this magically... Think we can convince Mr. S to help with a patio makeover?

I find that during the spring I wake up every morning wondering what on earth I should wear - one day there's summer-like temperatures, and then the next there's a freeze warning, and not to mention if it's cold in the morning it will be blazing hot in the afternoon. I've found myself more recently relying on my 3/4 length shirts and cropped slacks + a light trench or "summer coat" for the cool mornings. I've been getting home later and later these days, and am feeling more like I don't have time for the things that matter most to me. Today's wise words give me peace and comfort to know that I'm not the only one feeling like there aren't enough hours in the day. This is for all of you who feel the same!

masters green

I love watching golf and even heading to the driving range with Mr. S. I'm horrible on the course, and avoid it at all costs, but who doesn't love the spring tradition of watching the Masters Championship? Mr. S got to spend a few days in Augusta last week watching the practice rounds - jealous! I love the spirit of cheering for your favorite golfer or even an underdog, and the beauty of the course just scream, "Wake up! Spring is here!!"

easter treats

I gave up sweets for Lent, and sure I've fallen off the wagon here or there, but I've tried to be really diligent about sticking to my no sweet policy for the last 40 days.
